Additional information:

Roy Luke Henline was an employee of the Monongahela Railroad Company ahead of his enlistment. Though he worked in and his parents lived in New Geneva, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, Roy registered for the draft in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania on 5 June 1918. He also was inducted into the military out of Waynesburg that same year on 4 September 1918. Roy trained briefly at Camp Forrest, Georgia, then went to Camp Hill, Virginia, where the influenza epidemic struck him down before he could ship out for service in France.
